Parking allocation software
that runs on fairness.
Not first-come-first-served. Not seniority. Not whoever emailed last. parkshare.work allocates your staff car park fairly, automatically, every week — and skips anyone on leave.

Parking shouldn't be political.
In most workplaces, the car park runs on whoever gets in first, whoever asks loudest, or whoever has been there longest. That works fine when there's plenty of space. When there isn't, it quietly erodes morale.
parkshare.work replaces gut feel and manual rosters with a transparent algorithm. Everyone can see how allocations are made. Nobody can game it. And the admin who used to own the spreadsheet gets their Monday mornings back.

Everything the spreadsheet can't do
parkshare.work handles the things that make manual parking allocation a weekly headache.
Fairness built in
The algorithm tracks how often each person has parked over the last 30 days. People who've had fewer spots move up the list. Same people winning every week? That stops.
Leave-aware allocation
Staff log upcoming leave — annual, sick, flex days. When allocation runs, anyone on leave is automatically skipped. Their bay goes to someone who actually needs it.
Hybrid schedule support
Only need parking on Tuesdays and Thursdays? Staff set their required days. The algorithm only allocates spaces when people need them — no wasted bays on WFH days.
Space preference matching
EV charging, covered, accessible, ground floor — staff set their preferences once. The algorithm tries to match them, without letting preferences override fairness.
Admin stays in control
Run automatically each week or kick it off manually. Override any allocation, edit past weeks, or assign a specific space to a specific person. You own it.
Slack & Teams notifications
Publish the week's allocations directly to a Slack channel or Teams webhook. Optional email to each staff member with their space, gate PIN, and access notes.
Who uses it
Usually someone nominates parkshare.work after one too many parking complaints.
Office managers & EAs
Spending Monday mornings rebuilding the parking roster, handling swap requests, and chasing people for leave.
Run it in two minutes. Everything else handles itself.
Facilities managers
No visibility into who's parking, which spaces are actually being used, and whether your car park is the right size.
Usage data, fairness scores, and allocation history — all in one place.
HR & people teams
Parking complaints landing in your inbox because the same people always get spots.
A transparent, auditable system staff can see and trust.
How the fairness algorithm works
The algorithm isn't a black box. Here's exactly what happens when you run allocation:
- 1
Leave and schedule checks
Anyone on leave or not rostered in that day is excluded. Their space stays in the pool.
- 2
Fairness scoring
Each remaining person gets a fairness rate: how many days they've parked in the last 30 days versus how many days they were eligible. Lower rate = higher priority.
- 3
Space matching
Highest-priority people are matched to spaces that fit their preferences — accessible, EV charging, covered — without letting preferences override the fairness order.
- 4
Results published
Everyone sees their allocation. Admins can review, override, or rerun. A summary posts to Slack or Teams if configured.
