Reading your week

The My Parking dashboard shows your current week at a glance: which days you have a bay, which space it is, and which days you missed out.

Weekends

When you open ParkShare on a Saturday or Sunday, the dashboard shows next Monday's week instead, so you always land on a week worth planning for.

Releasing a bay

Not coming in on a day you were allocated? Release it so a colleague can use it.

  1. 1Find the day on your My Parking week.
  2. 2Click the Release button.
  3. 3The engine reallocates your bay for that day, and the day clears from your week.

Releasing a day does not cost you anything in the fairness engine — it simply frees the space for someone else who needs it.

Your history

Below your current week you will find your history: past allocations, read-only. It is handy for checking what you were allocated on a given week, for example when reconciling a parking charge or settling a tandem arrangement.

If you missed out

Everyone misses out sometimes — that is how a fair system works when demand beats supply. A few things help:

  • Flag the days you really need parking on the Park Requests page so the engine prioritises you.
  • Check your preferences are accurate and complete.
  • Record your leave so recent time away counts in your favour in the fairness window.

To understand exactly how the engine decides who gets a bay, see how fairness works.
