Getting started
Recording leave
Tell ParkShare when you are away so you are skipped in allocations, your space frees up for others, and your fairness record is protected.

Why record leave
- You are excluded from allocations while on leave, so you are not allocated a bay you cannot use.
- Your space frees up for colleagues who are in the office.
- Leave beats a reservation — if a bay was reserved for you, it returns to the pool while you are away.
- Leave in the recent past still counts in your favour in the fairness window, so taking leave does not cost you your place in the queue.
Submitting leave
- 1Open the Leave page.
- 2Enter a start date, an end date and, if you would like, a short reason.
- 3Submit. While the leave period is active you will be skipped in the weekly allocation.
Changing leave
Plans change. Delete the leave record from the Leave page and enter it again with the corrected dates. Leave that has already passed is part of your history and cannot be changed.
Long holidays are fine
Recording leave is always better than leaving it blank. The fairness window remembers recent leave in your favour, so you will not be penalised for time away.

How fairness works
The weekly allocation gives priority to people who have parked least in the last 30 days, with allowances for leave, accessibility needs and preferences.
Reservations and displacement
Approve guaranteed-spot requests as hard reservations, confirm displacement explicitly, and understand the append-only fairness ledger.
Requesting parking
Flag days you need parking or request a guaranteed spot, and track the decisions on your requests.
